Janet Wall
Janet describes growing up on Spring Bank in the 1940s and being bombed out during the Second World War. She attended Park Road School, Constable School and Greatfield High School. Janet worked at a pickle factory, Armstrong’s in Beverley and at the NAAFI in Leconfield where she met her husband. She recalls the houses she has lived in and the changes in lifestyle, holidays at home and abroad and relationships with her parents, siblings and husband. Janet recalls the Second World War describing rationing, going in the Anderson Shelter and being evacuated to a farm in Newport.
