Carolyn Daniel
Carolyn describes everyday life in her family on North Hull Estate during the late 1940s onwards. She got a job at 15 years old in Hyland’s(?) Printers and describes the different job processes there. Carolyn married at 18 and had four children by the time she was 25. She remembers the dentist coming to the house to extract teeth, renting rooms in other people’s houses and then getting herself on the property ladder. Carolyn talks about changes in household tasks such as the laundry.
