Bridie comes from County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. She describes her early life just after the war. Bridie became a teacher and taught in primary schools in Hull. She talks about what her children did when they grew up. She describes how the education has changed. After retiring she talks about supply teaching and becoming a City of Culture volunteer.
