Robert Holiday

Robert starts by describing some of his early life on Hessle Road, his relationship with his grandmother and leaving school at 14. He describes his experience during the Second World War, initially at a building company and then in the Royal Navy. He goes back and describes more of his early life and his parents. He talks about his other grandmother, the family home and living a relatively impoverished home life. Robert remembers his school and some of his pastimes. He recalls the war both as a boy and while in the Navy. Robert describes working at Hull New Theatre and his home life with his wife.
