Charles is married to Dorothy. He was brought up on Stepney Lane and lived there until he moved to North Hull Estate in 1960. Charles remembers the bombing during the Second World War. When he left school he joined the Army as an Engineer and spent a sort time in Egypt during the Suez Crisis. Charles has had many jobs including an apprentice at Ideal Standard and Kingston Printers. He started the North Hull Boxing Club. Charles still enjoys his life in his 80s with a loving wife and family.
