Frank Stevenson

Frank describes his life from leaving school at 15 and joining the Merchant Navy. He recalls the hard life of a galley boy. Frank saw active service in the Royal Navy during the Second World War. He then joined the deep sea fishing fleet and experienced life on board the sidewinder trawlers. Frank recalls a particular incident on Hessle Road where a trawler man rode a horse into Rayners Pub.
